Dr. Brendan Tan Choon Ling is a lecturer at HELP University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dr. Tan has been in the education industry since 2006 and has served as a lecturer previously at APIIT (now known as APU), Monash University Malaysia, teaching a variety of subjects related to programming, e-business and statistics.

Dr. Tan (BCompSci, MIT, PhD) earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science in 2002 in, followed by a Master’s Degree in Information Technology in 2005, where he simulated online character recognition through Ant Colony Optimization. In 2012, he obtained his PhD in Information Technology from Monash University Malaysia with his research in Simultaneous Localization and Mapping.
