John founded Price Equity Research LLC in 2011, but his vision for the firm and PER Interactive™ was years in the making. Mr. Price previously served as the founder and portfolio manager of the Whitetail Capital Fund I, L.P., a long/short value fund that focused on special situations such as spinoffs, IPOs and recapitalizations.

Before founding Whitetail, he was an equity research analyst for the CEO of a private fund within Lamco Communications Inc., which later was acquired by Providence Equity Partners.

Mr. Price received his B.A. degree in accounting and business from Lycoming College and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey. He received the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) professional designation from the CMT Association. Mr. Price is an active member of Trout Unlimited, and is passionate about protecting our environment and its inhabitants.
