Jack Schannep is the President and Leading Strategist of TheDowTheory.com, where he publishes his regular market timing insights. He has been writing the “Schannep Timing Indicator & TheDowTheory.com Newsletter” since 1977, originally for colleagues in the business and, since 1998, on the web. He is the author of Dow Theory for the 21st Century, published by John Wiley & Sons in 2008.

Jack is a West Point graduate and a former Air Force flight instructor who started in the finance business over 50 years ago with Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley). He retired as Senior Vice President in charge of the southern Arizona division of the firm in 1984.
