Glen Martin, CMT, is a multi-asset investor, with experience in equities, fixed income, alternative investments and foreign exchange.  Most recently, he was Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager on Manulife Asset Management’s Absolute Return Team where he was primarily responsible for macro focused idea generation and portfolio management.

Previously, Glen was Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Solutions Group (PSG) at Manulife Asset Management.  His responsibilities included managing the Canadian PSG portfolios of $19B including target risk, target date, tactical, dynamic, balanced, income and absolute return strategies.  Glen led portfolio managers and analysts in researching, back testing, and implementing systematic and opportunistic investment decisions within the Portfolio Solutions Group’s Canadian products, and provided recommendations to the Group’s $140B of international mandates.

Glen holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation, the Canadian Securities Institute’s Derivatives Market Specialist (DMS) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.  In 2016, he was awarded the Canadian Society of Technical Analysis’ Technical Portfolio Manager of the Year.  Glen holds a B.Sc. in Banking and Finance from the University of London.
