Professor Dimitris N. Politis is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego. He holds several MS degrees in statistics, mathematics, and computer and systems engineering, and a PhD  in Statistics from Stamford University. He is an accomplished researcher in statistics, Associate Editor of a number of academic journals, has been awarded numerous grants and awards, and is the author of 75 technical papers and 2 books.
