Bill Miller IV, CFA, CMT is a portfolio manager at Miller Value Partners, where he co-founded and co-manages the Miller Income strategy, which invests opportunistically across the capital structure in pursuit of undervalued yield. He began his investment career with Legg Mason Capital Management in 2008, where he was a generalist gravitating toward specialty finance, consumer and high-yielding securities.
Prior to the investment business, Mr. Miller was an analyst at McKinsey & Company. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Tufts with a degree in economics and also earned his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. When the market is closed, Mr. Miller enjoys following his private investments in Bitcoin, Big League Advance (income share agreements with baseball players) and Tinyhood (on-demand parenting education).
He has appeared in a variety of public forums including as guest co-host on CNBC’s Closing Bell and Squawk Box as well as industry-specific conferences and podcasts.
